Message to clients:
I have worked in the mental health field for close to two decades and absolutely love helping people overcome challenges. I feel most passionate working with the “cycle breakers”— adults who are breaking generational cycles within their family systems. This can look different in each individual, such as difficulty in setting boundaries, putting others’ needs before your own, feelings of low self-esteem, and feelings of intense shame and guilt.
My approach to sessions depends on individual's needs, but I will maintain unwavering, unconditional positive regard. This means you have a safe space to process difficult emotions and thoughts without fear of judgment. I also believe in authenticity and the power of humor, which is something my clients truly appreciate! The client feedback I take the most pride in has been that I am easy to talk to which helps them feel safe, that I am unlike other therapists they have worked with previously, and that I just “get them.”
I have training in a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I am also in the process of becoming certified in Brainspotting.
Starting therapy is brave and courageous, and I would feel honored to work alongside you on your healing journey.
